Tried setting up a new Profile (as mentioned in a similar query).Tried setting a new Send/Receive Group (as mentioned in a similar query). My other IMAP accounts in Outlook work fine. But I need to use multiple devices and IMAP has to be the way to go. When I set up the same account as POP/SMTP, it worked fine. The test emails that are auto-sent while adding the account or when repairing the account are all being sent and received (at least the tick marks show up in the testing window) and the mails themselves show up on my phone and webmail.

I was even able to add the IMAP account to Outlook on my Android phone and all the received emails appear there too. If I log in at my webmail with the same account all the Microsoft Outlook Test emails and all the test emails (from my other accounts) have been received and are available in the Inbox. Another new feature of the new platform is the system will also automatically delete SPAM Emails after 7 days which means less work for. The custom SPAM filters you setup in the prior platform will be automatically transferred to the new platform. This IMAP account is able to send emails but the received emails are not showing up in the Inbox. The new Email platform includes enhanced SPAM filters meaning you will see less SPAM in your inbox. Recently, I created a new work email ID and had it set up using IMAP. Most email clients these days use push notifications by default. My work around is having all my emails forwarded from aol to my Gmail account, I added Gmail to Mac mail. I can only get my mail by going to AOL homepage mail account. The fetch system is older and slower but more reliable and easier to program. My Verizon mail on my Mac desktop stopped working on July 28th.
The push method is more efficient but sometimes unsupported by older email clients or servers. I have a couple of IMAP accounts set up on my desktop outlook client. The fetch method relies on your device repeatedly asking if the server if new email messages have arrived.
